Thomas Cook – Brits demand for Turkish Holidays continues upwards
Thomas Cook, the 2nd largest tour operator in both Europe and the UK, has reported that a visible recovery continues in bookings for Turkey.
By contrast, bookings for Spanish resorts has levelled off due to the fact that other operators have boosted their capacity in that country.
“We have a very competitive market environment from the U.K. to Spain,” Thomas Cook chief executive Peter Fankhauser said. “We don’t have growth in Spain, but we are shifting capacity into Greece and Turkey in accordance with customer demand,” he added.
