UK Companies most satisfied with Turkish Product Quality
A recent survey conducted by the the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) showed that two-thirds of of companies in Turkey’s Top 26 export markets are happy with the quality of Turkish goods.
Head of the assembly, Mehmet Büyükeksi, stated that one on one interviews were held with representatives from 2,250 overseas companies – of these, British French and Indian companies expressed the highest levels of satisfaction.
British companies satisfaction levels were 85%, followed by France and India with 77% and 74% respectively.
Some 88% of all participants made no negative comments whilst 62% voiced positive comments.
The EU average, however, was 59%, mainly due to negative comments from Dutch, Polish and German companies – Büyükeksi stated that ‘Turkish exporters must adopt special measures for EU markets in order to increase levels of satisfaction’
The highest approval levels were seen in the electronics and machinery sectors, followed by the chemicals and foods sectors.
Some 60% of participants expressed a positive perception of Turkey, with just 12% having a negative perception – Spain, Germany and India were amongst those countries where perception was brightest.
